1. Respect the Craft (and Each Other)

We are a community of friends and collaborators. Treat every member with respect. Discrimination, hate speech, or targeted harassment will result in an immediate permanent ban. We’re here to lift each other up, not tear each other down.

2. Feedback is a Two-Way Street

To receive feedback in the #wip-feedback channel, you must first provide quality feedback for at least one other person.

• Do: Give specific, constructive notes (e.g., “The sub feels a bit muddy around 100Hz”).

• Don’t: Just say “fire” or “this sucks.”

3. Keep Self-Promotion in its Place

We want to hear your wins! However, please keep personal track links, social media plugs, and “out now” posts strictly to the #promo-your-new-tunes channel. Spamming other channels with your links is a quick way to get muted.

4. No “Leaking” or Piracy

Hot Key Collective respects intellectual property. Do not share leaked tracks, cracked VSTs, or unauthorized sample packs. Support the developers and artists who make our scene possible.

5. Mind the Noise (Chat Etiquette)

Keep the right content in the right channels.

• Technical Serum/DAW questions go to #music-production

• Memes and general banter go to #general-chat.

• No excessive tagging of @Everyone or @Staff unless it’s an emergency.
