Agreement

By using hotkeycollective.com you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. You must be at least 13 to use the site, and at least 18 or have a parent or guardian's permission to make a purchase.

Music and content

The music, radio episodes, artwork, videos, logos and text on this site belong to Hot Key Collective, its artists or their licensors, and are protected by copyright and other laws.

You may stream content on the site for personal, non-commercial listening. You may not download streams, scrape, copy, redistribute, publicly perform, or remove protections from anything on the site, or use it to train machine learning systems, without written permission.

Buying tracks

Prices are shown in US dollars before checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. Download links are shown after payment and expire after 7 days, so please save your files.

• A purchased track is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You do not own its copyright.
• You may not resell, share, upload, sample, or use purchased tracks in commercial or public works without written permission.
• Because downloads are delivered immediately, all sales are final unless the law requires otherwise. If a file is faulty or missing, email [email protected] and we will put it right.

Dark Room and other products sold through Gumroad are subject to Gumroad's terms.

Demos and messages

You keep all rights in anything you send us. By submitting a demo you confirm that you have the right to share it, and you let us listen to it and discuss it within HKC to consider it. Submitting does not create any agreement, and we may not be able to reply to everyone. We will not release your music without a separate agreement with you.

Acceptable use

Do not:

• Break the law or infringe anyone's rights through the site.
• Interfere with the site, bypass its security or download limits, or overload it.
• Use bots or scrapers on the site, or send spam or harmful content through our forms.

We may restrict access for anyone who breaks these terms.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with your contact details, the work concerned, where it appears on the site, and a statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorized.

Other sites

The site links to and embeds services we do not control, such as SoundCloud, Spotify, Apple Music, Discord and Gumroad. Your use of them is covered by their own terms.

Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, and we do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, HKC and its artists are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California, unless the law where you live gives you a different right.
